Cuddle Party: Ten Years After, What’s Next?
Cuddle party has grown from a 2 person dream into a worldwide reality. Along the way, we have trained over 80 people in 4 continents, and have collectively held thousands of cuddle parties (just imagine the amount of oxytocin!). So, what’s next? Are we poised to grow? How do we grow?
We’re holding a gathering for Cuddle Party Facilitators, and we would LOVE to have you be part of the fun. As we transition from a private business into a worldwide community, we need to have that same community show up and collectively decide what we want and how best to meet that. You are all part of this vibrant community! Come share your wisdom, spirit and knowledge as Cuddle Party begins its second decade.
WHO: Certified Cuddle Party Facilitators and Facilitators currently in training – AND – you may bring your partner and/or a dedicated caddy as well. ** They still need to register, just like you **
WHEN: September 12th, 13th and 14th, 2014, Friday 6 p.m. to Sunday 5:00 p.m.
WHERE: Oakland, CA (Fruitopia, Reid’s home) (Fly into Oakland, not SF)
COST: Sliding scale from $50 to $100. Pay what you can afford! Ask about this if you need to. Includes lunches and snacks.
FINANCIAL HELP: We are also asking anyone who is able to do so to pitch in a little extra toward a support fund for those who need the financial help. (please consider if you are one of the lucky ones who lives close enough to not have to travel to get there)
LODGING: on your own, but we are working with Bay Area facilitators to get as many spare rooms as we can. Leela is coordinating: firstname.lastname@example.org
– Friday night: Introductions, Cuddle Party! (Of course!) Bring your friend, partner, spouse, caddy.
– Saturday: Extended introductions. Presentations, workshops, playshops, group discussions, play time. Lunch included. We are asking for YOUR ideas. What are some topics you want to talk about? Is there a short workshop you’d love to present?
– Sunday: What’s next for the community? How can we help each other? Lunch included. Departure/closing.
SPECIAL BONUS – TRAINING REFRESHER: After this gathering we’ll be assembling as many of us as we can to be part of a training so we can video it for future use. That’s going to be held on Monday and Tuesday. Come help out and get a free refresher!
